“Data Protection and Privacy” learning unit equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become vigilant data protectors in the digital age. It covers key data protection aspects like classification, responsible handling of sensitive information, privacy, intellectual property, and cyber threats. The participants will explore regulations like GDPR, data encryption, secure storage practices, and data breach response plans. The module fosters a mindset that prioritises data privacy, ethics, and adaptability in cybersecurity.
Aim: Upon the completion of this learning unit, the learner will be able to effectively protect and manage data, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and safeguard privacy in cybersecurity.
