Introduction

This subunit focuses on the complex world of Cloud computing, specifically for SMEs. The module aims to impart essential insights into the key considerations that SMEs must prioritize when integrating Cloud systems into their operations. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with Cloud usage, as well as strategies to enhance security measures. The module covers Geo-resilience, Data Isolation, Encryption, Network Segmentation issues. Students also will find some examples of the main risks that SMEs may encounter when using cloud systems such as Data Breaches, Insider Threats, Data loss, Account hijacking etc. The module also covers strategies for safeguarding SMEs data security for safely using cloud systems in daily operations of SMEs.
