Antivirus and Antimalware Software: Antivirus and antimalware software are programs designed to protect your computer or network from malicious software. Although the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, they typically provide protection against different types of threats.
Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS): Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) are security technologies designed to protect your network from malicious activities and attacks. An IPS continuously monitors network traffic and takes action to prevent potential threats based on an analysis of that traffic. The system can block harmful traffic, isolate it, or send alerts to administrators based on defined security policies.

Firewalls and VPNs (Virtual Private Network): A firewall is a security system that controls incoming and outgoing traffic on a computer network. A firewall protects a network or computer by setting rules that block or permit certain traffic. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing the network and prevents insecure applications from compromising the network. A VPN is a technology used to establish a secure connection over the internet. A VPN encrypts the user’s internet traffic and typically routes it through a VPN server. This hides the user’s actual IP address and makes it difficult to monitor or manipulate the user’s internet traffic.
